Our stay was a very special and unforgettable experience. The camp is run by Rashid and his family, who took it over from his father - you can immediately feel that they work here with a lot of tradition, heart and respect for the desert and that it is not a tourist place in the classic sense.
The camp consists of three areas: a headquarters and two smaller private camps. We were very lucky to have booked one of the private camps over New Year's Eve - and actually had it completely to ourselves - an incredibly intense, calm and beautiful experience.
Our tent was very clean, lovingly prepared and comfortable. The toilet was also absolutely fine for desert conditions and also clean. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on care and order here.
After the sunset we were picked up to the headquarters where a very tasty, traditional meal awaited us. The traditional music from the locals was particularly nice.
The next morning we booked a sunrise tour for 1 hour, which Rashid himself did with us personally - we learned a lot about the desert, life there and the people, met locals and saw countless camels.
All in all, this stay was characterized by warmth, authenticity and respect for tradition. Rashid and his team are incredibly nice, attentive and never intrusive.
For us it was something very special that we will not soon forget.
